I have many wonderful memories of cousin Bruce when were growing up such as water skiing on Chautauqua lake, hunting, fishing and playing baseball at the Crandall reunions. I'm so glad I got to see him last October and laugh with him about some of the things we did. I will always smile when I think of him and he will be greatly missed by all of us.

Bruce is a Clarks Corner neighbor and a friend and a relative of my wife.I will never forget when my family and I spent a day with Bruce about twenty years ago touring the cattle stockades at Ft Worth Texas. We had a great day and great conversations. He always called me when he returned to western NY state. The last time we talked was in late February 2015. Unforunately I was traveling and couldnt join up with Bruce. He will be missed but is in a good place now. May God bless him and his family.

Bruce was blessed to have been born and raised in Clark's Corners and all of us there were blessed to have grown up with him. So many memories of Sunday School, VBS, 4-H, Grange, neighborhood parades, creek swimming, and school activities.Bruce was always the one smiling with that twinkle in his eye, making everything fun. We are so sorry for your loss but know that it is heaven's gain. We will see you there, Bruce.

“Meaningful friendships endure even as the years roll by and contact wanes. Bruce was always my friend even though we hadn’t seen each other for more than two decades. We were hopeful of attending our 50th high school reunion last July. Unfortunately, a setback for Bruce in his cancer fight didn’t make that possible. He did make it back to New York State later last year and I’m thankful for that. I live in Atlanta and Bruce stayed with us while attending a real estate conference in the early 1990s. It was a good trip for Bruce. As a meeting door price, he won a free one-year lease on a new car. Bruce was one happy realtor. I will always remember his smile and laugh. I don’t recall how we first became friends in high school, but I’m very grateful we did. We graduated from junior college together in Jamestown and then went our separate ways to finish our degrees and start our careers, but we were part of each other’s wedding. It was heartbreaking to hear the news of Bruce’s cancer and I wish I had made a trip to Texas to see him. I know, though, how blessed he felt to have the constant support of his children, friends and, of course, Carolyn. Good-bye, good friend.”

Bruce Town.I ALWAYS looked up to him even after he went to Texas. He was a cousin I looked up to. He was so kind and had a heart of gold. I will never forget the times when we were just young kids. Celebrating the holidays together. The cottage on the lake with granma Bell and Granpa Lawrence and you fishing together .  You will be missed cousin. But your in heaven now where god will hold your hand and no longer have to fight the pain. You will always be remembered and loved by all.

Bruce will be forever in our memories- he was so kind and easy going. He would go along with whatever the group wanted to do. Very flexible and adaptable. We will remember his laugh and the fun times together. Antiques, casinos, great meals together. We always enjoyed when he and Carolyn came to stay in Hastings. We truly will miss him but are glad we got to spend a couple of his last days with him and say good-bye. God bless you Bruce, you fought the good fight.
