Bruce McMillian Daniel, 70, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Born July 29, 1948 in Granville County to the late Dr. Louis Samuel Daniel and Ruth McMillian Daniel.  He was a member of Oxford Baptist Church and retired as the Chief Building Inspector for the Town of Wake Forest.  He taught thirteen years at Vance Granville Community College and for the Federal Prison in Butner.

Memorial services are pending for 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:45 at the funeral home.  Bruce requested everyone come dressed casual.

Surviving are his wife of thirty-four years, Rita Honeycutt Daniel of the home; two sons, Adam West  (Kristin) of Oxford, Robert Daniel (Bobbie) of Creedmoor; his brother, Bill Daniel of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Savannah West, Drew West and Colton West; nephew, Nick Daniel and his companion, “puppy-dog”.
