R.I.P. Bryce Lee Jones. It has been many years since I have seen Bryce as well, thanks James Windle for bringing this to my attention. Despite his small stature, Bryce had the heart and confidence of a lion. The one thing I remember most is that he showed up everyday and in my opinion was always apart of whatever I was involved in. Be it football, baseball, or wrestling events. All he wanted was to be a part of something. Once i picked up on others giving him the cold shoulder, myself and many others took him under our wings It is pretty amazing that times like this help you remember how your life was/is molded.

Peace Mr. Jones

I too, remember Bryce at retreats, helping out his mom or dad by delivering fabric to all the quilters. His smile was a ray of sunshine that never stopped. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Bryce blessed me in so many ways. He was a true and caring friend. Consistently, he went out of his way to do kind things to make my day. He brought me flowers, wrote me notes, drove me to and from school, called me on my birthday, listened to many sad stories about lost games, lost love and friendships, asked me to dances (even though I had a boyfriend) and he always held a special place in my heart.
I often tell Bryce stories to my husband and children and they always make me have a happy heart.
Thank you for being a blessing in so many ways, to so many people.
May your heart be happy remembering how he touched so many lives.

I will always remember Bryce and Rod working together at retreat. Bryce was the happiest fabric delivery man in the world. He always had the brightest smile as he located his target!! He will be missed!!

I loved seeing the smile on his face when he was barefoot on the beach in Oregon. He had such a great day that day.

He and Dominic sat at my table in Colorado doing word searches together. He loved that Dominic did them too and that he could show him how to do them.

Bryce was always a bright and affectionate presence in the hallways at Redmond High School. He was always interested in and compassionate toward others, ready to help out or listen to a story depending on the situation at hand, and deeply genuine. I am so sorry for your loss and please know that there are many graduates of RHS saddened by this news and sending thoughts and prayers your way. I remain grateful for having known Bryce in our younger years (that infectious smile!), and it doesn't surprise me to learn, as recorded in these other tributes, that he continued to bring much joy and good cheer to family and friends in the years since that time. May these memories of Bryce's smile and buoyant spirit comfort you in the days, months, and years ahead.

I did not know Bryce in his adult life, but I remember him well from my youth before moving away from Redmond. I went to elementary school with him and played on the same soccer team as him, coached by his father. He always had such a positive attitude, something we can all learn from. May you rest in peace.

Bryce was my friend. We grew up together and he as well as his family were always good to me. I think I was 4 when Bryce and I met, and he was my closest childhood friend. I can't say I always treated him as well as he deserved, nor was I always the best friend I could be, but as an adult I have thought about him often. He is one of the people I was looking forward to seeing at our 20 year high school reunion. Bryce was a genuine humanbeing, in a world that lacks the level of honesty and loyalty that came so natural to him. I can't say I knew him as an adult, but the Bryce I knew was well on his way to being a good man. Rod, Lori, Matt, I am sorry for the loss you must feel. God bless

I miss you. I think about you, Rigel, Mom & Dad every single day. I bet you're about to say... "Dude, where are you?!?". Well, I'm still here in life. I have added to our family significantly. Dominic, Alec (Olivia) and Carter are all doing really well. Dominic has a motorcycle & a J.O.B!!! Olivia is now named Alec and identifies as male. I know, I know its just something we need to accept. Carter is lifting weights to get buff and is already 14 years old!!! I got married again, and you'd love her so much - Rebekah! She brings with her 4 kiddos to add to our family: Pine (who's not really in the picture at the moment), Ethan (who's in the Army & married - wonderful young man, you'd like him a lot), Evan (who's into wrestling & getting buff with the weightlifting), and Eric (who's a sweetheart). We also have a grandson, Tommy. He's a curly haired goofball who you'd love too. Anyway... I wanted to say "Hi" and let you know I love & miss you so damn much. Tell everyone I think of you all every day! Bye dude!

I can’t believe you’ve been gone 9 years. I hope that time passed quicker for you than us. We are still grieving over your mom and dad but I like to imagine all of you rejoicing, together at last. Rod, Lorrie, Rigel, Brice, Juanita- add in Joan and Marie for fun. I’ll see you all soon.

Master Storyteller

Like most Pederson's, Bryce loved to tell a good tale and the best tales were those that involved trouble. Every time I saw him he would start with "hey Jan" a big hug and then he'd launch into a story. One of my favorites was about him working at and being 'let go' from the animal shelter! His sense of injustice was amazing and his anger was righteous.

Budha Bryce

March 22, 2014

Bryce had his original brain surgery at age 3.  After the surgery, his physic changed to a very Budha like body due to the steriods given to him prior to the surgery.  He was very cranky because the pressure in his head was building up.  His favorite Aunt Jackie came to visit him and entered the room with a very pleasant Hi Bryce, How are you today.  He looked at her with his one good eye (the other had a patch over it) and said "Why don't you go home and feed your cats!!!)  He was having nothing to do with nice, even for aunt Jackie!  It devistated her for days.  It was funny at a later date, but definately not funny then.
