Thinking of you Bud as the 4 year anniversary of your passing approaches us this Saturday.
Going for a drive in the woods today- be looking for a nice two point, a willow grouse, a dry snag within winch distance or one of the multitudes of things and memories you helped create for us down here while you were alive!
Say hi to momma Patsy and look forward to giving you both big hugs in our new bodies one day.

Thinking of my Mamma all day yesterday. Wondering what it is like to be in her new body, mansion and marriage? Does it even really register that she would have turned 93 had she remained with us down here? My mother certainly loved her family and I am sure still does. Wonder how this could change now that Patsy fully understands True Love? Things we truly can only imagine…
Love you mom and dad with all my heart, always will and look forward to the day we meet up again!

Patsy and Bud’s memorial stone was placed into their permanent family plot at the Moyie Historic Cemetery yesterday. Some of their ashes were scattered there too as well as other scenic Moyie sites. Their remaining ashes will be distributed to any/all family and friends interested in helping us distribute them in ways that continue to honour them and allow their memories to live on!

The song posted on mom’s page was played to her ( by her new friend Shar) in Invermere as she left us Easter Monday. Mom was a good Irish Protestant Gregg gal and it just makes sense this tune by Celtic Women would be part of God’s Grace leading Patsy home. Her first sibling to leave us was Danny and I’m sure the pipes were playing too the day he left us in 1971!

Happy Birthday Mr. Ellis,
I'll always remember the day you asked me to go for a ride with you on your job. Stopped at the end of Elizebeth Lake and watched a Moose and her baby for at least 45 minutes, i really enjoyed that day

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Bud and work with him as a young Conservation Officer just posted to Fernie BC back in 1980. Bud had my greatest admiration, not only for his tremendous knowledge of wildlife but for the incredible quality of character he possessed. Bud was a true gentlemen in every sense of the word and to know him was a great privilege and one of life's gifts.

Regards to all of Bud's family.

Aunt Patsy, Donovan, Patrick and Douglas - I only just heard about Uncle Bud's passing - so sad. But Bud lived a long wonderful life, including being married seemingly forever to Aunt Patsy and raising three wonderful boys/men.

I remember fondly times spent out at Moyie when I was a kid when my parents Irene and Gord Fontaine would take my sister Janet and I out for the day or overnight. I was always fascinated by the "stuff" in Bud's garage in Cranbrook or in nooks and crannies out at the Moyie cabin. Things like you see at historic sites! I also got to feed a baby cougar!

I was also so glad that my kids Michael and Kristen were able to meet Bud and Patsy when we were on our 2006 BC/Alberta trip.

Lauren and I send our deepest condolences to you and to all of Bud's extended family.

Sending heartfelt thoughts to Patsy and all the family, we loved Bud as a friend and neighbor while in Moyie. We know he will be missed by all and we are glad we have the memories of this wonderful man in our hearts.
Warm thoughts
