Mr. Burl Holloway, age 73, of Franklin passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday October 12, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services for Mr. Holloway will be conducted Friday October 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM from New Hope Baptist Church (325 New Hope Road) with the Revs. Donald Spradlin and Mark Shelnutt officiating. Mr. Holloway’s body will lie in state beginning 30 minutes prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Heard County Memorial Gardens.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Thursday evening from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Burl was a good man. He was especially good to my granddaddy, Willie Phillips and he checked on him often. We were always excited when Burl brought my granddaddy his homemade coconut cakes. They were the best. RIP Burl.
