Back in our high school days Byron loved my mom's (Louise Bonnot) banana cake.  He always wanted to know when she was going to bake one.  You could always count on it -  that Byron would be by for a piece of that cake!  Most of the time someone would be home, but if they weren't that didn't matter -  if there was banana cake he would just come on in and help himself to a piece.  Sometimes he would get a slice before me or my brother (Larry and Tom Bonnot)!  Always knew if there was a plate in the sink and slice of cake missing that Byron had been by.  He was always welcome and he knew that!  I always think of him when I have banana cake (even if its not my Mom's recipe)!

Rest in peace Byron,  I will miss seeing your smiling face around town!
