Hi Dad,
We finally were able to make it back to CO to visit, sorry it took so long but we made it! We brought Ethan along too…I know you two would be the best buddies if you were still here. Mia and Ethan may not have chance to know you but I know you’re watching over both of them every day. Mia still tells me you visit her in her dreams and share rainbow ice cream with her. We talk of you often and miss you dearly.  You are in my heart and prayers always. I miss you.

3 more weeks and we welcome little boy to the family! Wish you were here to meet him in person but I know you’ve probably already been checking in on him. miss you Dad!

Today as I got ready for Mass with Brian and Mia I put on a sweater that I have not worn for almost one year now.  The last time I wore it was on 14 Feb 2020 when we all said our final goodbyes to you. I think of you daily, but especially today and hope that you are looking down and smiling at all of us.

So technically its tomorrow (19 Jun) but Mia is sleeping and things are quiet so I thought I'd sit down and write you a little note.  I know how much you like notes; I wish I had written more of them while you were here to write back.  I have faith that you are watching over all of us and reading this now as I type. So...happy early Birthday and while I'm at it, Happy Father's Day! Mia just turned TWO and talks of her "Papa By" all the time (Sorry I know you wanted to be called 'Gramps' but she's the boss!).  She tells me she sees you in her dreams and I love that. She is SO your granddaughter...she loves motorcycles, reading books, and has a smile that charms everyone she meets. I miss you everyday and know you are smiling down on us wishing you were here. Happy Birthday Daddy!
