I first met Eugene while we were both in boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC, July of 1957. Years later I became a patient. About once a year we would talk on the phone and today I made that call to his cell phone and got a strange message. I was really sadden to learn of the passing of my Marine Corps buddy. I will always be thankful for being his friend.
