Several years ago, when MacKay was just starting on his fitness journey, I would drive past him as he was walking on the Willis Road path. I started honking and “cheering” out the window when I would see him. At first, he would keep his head down and would not acknowledge the crazy lady driving past making a scene, but once he realized who it was, I started getting a slight smile and a small wave. As the weeks went on, I would often see him out walking with his head held higher and looking fitter and happier.
Way to go MacKay! You did it! You reached those goals and then some!!
