This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Candace Woods, 62 years old, born on February 11, 1961, and passed away on May 5, 2023. We will remember her forever.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Tabernacle of Deliverance Pentecostal Church: 6987 N Union Rd., Clayton, OH. Visitation will begin at 11am, followed by a 12pm service. Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery on a later date: June 7, 2023, at 1pm.

Ms. Candace L. Woods known as “Candi”. She was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  She was the oldest of 4 kids, born to Eleanor Woods and the late Paul Woods Sr. She moved to Dayton Oh with her family between 1965-1966. They reside in the Huber Heights area, She graduated from Wayne High School, she went off to the army and served 7 years. When she left the army she got a degree in teaching and became a head start teacher (she loved her job and kids).

She loved her arts and crafts, she loved horses and tigers, her favorite color was purple, she loved her Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State SHE WAS A RIDE OR DIE FAN. 

She gave birth to 7 beautiful kids Shantel, Shawna, Scott, Sherisse (BOO), Sean, Stephan, and Shane, and stepkids, who she loved to the moon and back. And also she was a wonderful/loving grandmother to 11 grandkids Ja’Maury, Ja’Shyra, Walter Jr, Stephan Jr, Lil Robert, Ja’Neyia and her 4 Quashea Jr, Noah, Noelin, Legend, and 1 on the way that she loved with all her hearts. Candace loved the lord she made sure she read her bible and went to church, she was a wonderful loving person and she cared about many and “one of many is Robert E Brown Sr. She was the rock to our family, She was the glue that held everything together. We are truly going to miss you.
