I remember Captain Owens, when he worked on the staff (S-1), of HHC, 7-101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). I often think of him, as I think about all of the people I served with during my time as the HHC First Sergeant. I was the First Sergeant for the unit from Sep 1997- Jun 2001. He went from "EagleLift" to a "Night Stalker," which clearly showed that he loved what he did. His distinctive red hair will always stay with me because he stood out because of it. I remember when I first heard the news of his death, I was stunned and sadden to hear that he was no longer with us. He is still in my thoughts, as so many others. I will like to wish his family all the best and to let them know that, physically he may not be not here, but in spirit, he is in our thoughts and mind. The fact that I am on the site today is surely proof of that, and I wanted to leave a message eluting to this. God Bless!
