I have many great memories with my Uncle... He always would bring over Nesquik Strawberry powder milk, canned goods, and other various items he had bought for the family. My mother and I would go with him food shopping and run numerous errands together. We would go out to lunch often with him to the Cheese Cake Factory and would reminisce about his childhood growing up and his parents childhood. He loved fast food and in particular McDonalds soft serve ice cream which he would say "is the best". Every time I would go to visit him with my parents so my father can help fix things around the house, he would always be watching either a British show or the Big Bang Theory which we had in common. He would answer our calls for him with "Hello" and our goodbyes and love yous with "Bye Bye", and "Love you too dear". I enjoyed having him at our family holidays. In the last few years he spent staying with my parents, he loved to read and look at magazines. He loved animals and would always reach down to pet my mom's dogs. They loved him and were always greeting him with gentleness and wagging tails. One of them at one time jumped on his lap and he just smiled and pet her. One of the most dear memories I have is when I had made a blanket for him and my mother with yarn that was their mothers. It was evident that she was going to make a blanket with them and it had the pattern she planned to do so but never got the chance. A couple of times when I would hold his hand and say "Bye Uncle Carl, Love you", he would bring my hand to his cheek and reply "Bye dear, Love you". Uncle Carl- Thank you for all that you did and all the time and memories spent together. I am at peace knowing you are with the Lord and are happy with Grandma and Grandpa again. I'm grateful to have really gotten to know you and for you to see me get married and meet my daughter. I will always remember these memories and especially the ones I hold dear. Until I see you again- Goodbye Uncle Carl, I Love You.
