Carl was my first martial arts teacher and mentor. His teachings built the foundation of all my training and made me a better person. When I decided to start training again I compared every teacher I had to him. He always encouraged me to keep training even if it wasn't under him. He was a great teacher and friend. And I'm just really going to miss him.

Carl was not just my brother in law, he was my brother. He never told me to my face that he loved me but I knew he did and he loved my kids and they loved him so much. He did tell Paula that he loved me but I didn’t need to hear him say those words because he showed his love to us everyday.
His memory will always be a light to shine in our future.
His love for Paula was a love like no other. He will always have a special place in my heart and I cherish every moment my family got to spend with him.
