CARL RAYMOND BLANKENSHIP, 68, of Jacksonville, FL, died in his home February 8, 2021. Memorial services for the family will be held at a later date. Carl was born on August 23, 1952 to Reece “Bud” and Leona Cazad Blankenship in Huntington, WV. Carl attended Barboursville High School. He retired as an over the road truck driver. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Walter, Lawrence “Sam,” James, and sister, Ann Shull. He is survived by five children: Steve Blankenship (Becky) of Hernando, MS; Brian Blankenship (Toni) of Goldsboro, NC; Scott Blankenship of Jacksonville, FL; Michael Blankenship (Kristy) of Memphis, TN; and Tabetha K. McKinney (Jessie) of Salt Rock, WV. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Brianna Bennet (Tim), Genevieve Green, Justin Blankenship, Tyler Blankenship, Austin Blankenship (Winnie), Caleb Blankenship, Cloe Blankenship, Amaya Blankenship, Brandon Blankenship, Gabe Blankenship, Mason McKinney, Joshua Blankenship, Maggie Blankenship, and Skye Blankenship; and nine great grandchildren: Xander Green, Marley Green, Ivy Maynard, Eleanor Bennet, Jackson Blankenship, Jaylen Blankenship, Reagan Blankenship, Imogen Bennett, and baby due July 2021. Carl enjoyed a simple life. His long talks and fun-loving personality will be greatly missed. “Bicycle!”
