I didn't have the heart to speak up on your birthday cause its still hard to accept the fact that your with us in spirit. Sometimes ill just sit and talk to you cause I miss you so much. We grew so close over the years, to the point sometimes we couldn't stand each other. We went on road trips, we went shopping, and we would just sit and watch Judge Judy together.

  Till this day even my daddy says you were the most hardworking man he has ever met. We all were truly blessed to have you as our poppa. The last few years our relationship became distant and that's a regret that I live with every day, but i never stopped thinking about you.

  One day I had a crazy dream about you, so crazy I jumped in the car and came to see you. I will never forget the smile that lit up on your face when you saw me walk into the room. Little did I know that in 2 weeks God was going to call you home. I miss you so very much and i think about you every single day. God took you from us but we all will be with you soon enough.

  Everyday I wish that I could give you one last hug. I wish you could see the memorial I had tattooed on my back. You would kill me though. but I am starting to ball my eyes out so I am going to bring this to an end. I love you Poppa and I miss you more than words can explain. He was my heart and soul, the love of my life and the man that saved me from myself. We had a happy life ( of course like every marriage we had our moments) we always forgave and thanks be to God we had time to do that, a good man, husband, father and brother. He is always with me.

Daddy was a dad to me way longer than my own father. He accepted me from day one, loved me as one of his own, fussed at me as one of his own and gave me lifelong advice that I pass along to my children. His nickname for me was little shit but I knew there was love in behind it. I still find myself asking his advise and it always comes in one of his favorite sayings...

Carlus, was a friend to all and missed by all. enjoyed sitting behind him in church and cutting up with him. Carlus visited my brother Eddie in the hospital every day for over a month, knowing that he was ill and really wasn't feeling well himself but he was there for his friend. I know he is having a great time in heaven. Love you and miss you Carlus Shaw.
