His Life

Carman Grier was the only son of the late Rawson Thompson and the late Alice Grier of Newnan, Georgia born on December 25, 1940.  

Carman was educated in the Coweta County School System, graduating from Central High School.  She served as a Communication Specialist in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  After his honorable discharge from the Army, Carman was employed by Kroger where he retired after thirty-four years of service.  In his spare time, Carman enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, watching wrestling and bowling.  

On April 5, 2013 Carman was called Home.  He was preceded in death by his father, Rawson Thompson, mother, Alice Grier and his sister. Judy Stephens.  

He leaves behind to cherish his memories:  Life-time Partner, Patsy J. Pryor; his sisters, Evelyn Rosser, Virginia Thompson; brother, Willie Thompson (Barbara); step-daughter, Beryl Pryor; granddaughter, Alysia Anderson; step-mother, Virginia Thompson; step-brothers and sisters, Vivian Dominick and Gloria Crook; Mark, Tracey, Melanie and Travis Houston; Linda, Brenda and Richard Swindle; life-long friend, Melvin Aycock of Newnan, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, special neighbors and friends.
