Her Life

The end of a beautiful life

March 29, 2014

My mom was never rich or even close to being perfect. She was a rebel as some people would put it. One thing that I do know about her though. She LOVED her family. She never had anything bad to say about anyone of her family members. For her, family was important!! She felt that everyone should come together and help each other. One of her main statements that she always made was "come on man, we are all family...why do we act that way against eah other".
She missed her mom and brothers dearly. Everytime I took her to see her brother Manuel Perera and Concha she was ecstatic. She was so happy to go and see her brother and sister-in-law. For her family was this perfect thing that eveyone should cherish. She was deeply saddened everytime she heard bad things or indifference coming from any family member.

She was not a perfect person, she had her faults. She liked to curse especially when the Alzheimers hit her pretty hard. The disease is what caused her brain to react under certain circumstances. Then she would go on a rampage in front of the mirror. Most of the time we had mirrors covered up so she could not see herself or what ever she was seeing in the damn mirror. She had this woman that she spoke with in the mirror. She never knew who this woman was, but i suspect it was the devil's wife.

She had a bad habit of tearing her clothes to bits. Then walk around the house half naked. No one knows the effect this disease has on the human brain, only the people who experience this terrible transition from good to bad and bad to worst.

I find it difficult to believe that people ignore this illness or devil's disease as i call it. I for one, will spend the rest of my life trying to help whoever I can help to overcome this terrible disease.

In the end, we could not care for her anymore. She needed professional help and we got it for her. She spent the balance of her days under great and wonderful care. She was comfortable when she passed away. She had a look on her face after she spoke with Rodan that evening. Me and Uschi both knew that it was the end. Her foot had turned purple indicating that her circulatory system was about to shut down. I spoke with her and she blinked her eyes a couple times as to say goodbye. A couple hours later she was in Heaven with the Jesus. I prayed for her and asked God to forgive her sins and take her with Him. He did!!!!!!!!!!!
