This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Carmen King, 98 years old, born on February 19, 1922, and passed away on April 11, 2020. We will remember her forever.

Remembering you for all the good times we had living in Guyana as neighbors back in the 1950 and early 60"s which to me was more like living like family, I remember how you and my mother got along so well that Moms (mother Audrey as she was called) became God mother to one of your children (Sonia), I remember growing up from childhood to a young adult I could of come to you and discuss anything I need to know and your advise was always reasonable and inspiring, you are dearly missed by all continue to Rest In Eternal Peace having a wonderful Birthday with your Lord and Savior.

Happy 99th Heavenly Birthday! I know the heavens are a tad bit brighter because you are there ! I imagine your laughter ringing through the air like champagne bubbles catching a ride on a rainbow. My vivid memories of you in Guyana is wrapped up in the warmth of your radiant smile and the overflow of the love from your heart that quickly enveloped us the moment we crossed your threshold. The timber of your voice is stamped in my mind because it had the perfect mix of sincerity and humor! You embodied creativity, love, joy, family, unconditional acceptance and I cherish all of the moments we were able to spend with you. Rest well Queen and in eternal peace . Love always❣️

This candle is lit today to celebrate your 99th Birthday. With love in our hearts and immense grief we so wish you were still here with us. But it's obvious that the Heavenly Father had better things prepared for you to do beside him.
You are a Legend!! The mould was shattered when you were created, there could never, ever be another like you.
You have left so much of yourself behind, when you were called to fulfilled your ultimate occupation serving our Dear Lord.
Your Legacy will live on in each and everyone of us so sadly left behind. As we are all part of you.

It’s with a burdened heart and unceasing tears I wish you a Happy Heavenly Birthday. On this day exactly 365 days ago you celebrated your 98th birthday with me and the rest of the family. Had I known that February 19th, 2020 was the last day I would ever kiss your cheek and feel your warmth. Feed you, hold your soft hands and look into your loving eyes I WOULD HAVE NEVER LET GO!
Granny you were my tower of strength, comfort and hope. As far back as I can recall, you were the face I saw. YOU were the one I ran to when I was hurt, when I needed advice or a shoulder to cry on. YOU were there for my every need and I could never abandon that unconditional love you’ve shown me and all the valuable lessons you've taught me. Over the years in my quiet time I have acknowledged that if not for your presence in my life only God knows. I am most grateful that I had the opportunity to share with you how much you have truly impacted my life just as you did for countless other family and friends.
Vera Battice it’s BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME, I’m able to be the woman I am today. It’s because of your stern and valuable parental style I’m able to be the proud wife and mother I am. Because you loved me, I dared to dream, to overcome obstacles thrown my way and reach for the absolute best. All those lessons you instilled in me I will never depart from. Deviating from them would only mean that I’m devaluing a great legacy of love, confidence, faith, hope, trust, vision, ambition, strength and I could go on and on.
