This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Carol Amon, 74, born on December 22, 1938 and passed away on September 11, 2013. We will remember her forever.

I hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos.  Sometime more will be posted, but her death has been very hard on the family she left behind.   Feel free to email me:   amon.tod@gmail.com   (her oldest son Tod).

Please feel free to post anything you like!

I had to look it up today to discover that it was 5 years ago... so time is erasing the details, leaving smiles behind... but still oh so many frowns... Miss you mom.

I love you mom. So many things you have missed in the past few years -- but so many wonderful memories you left behind.

Thank you Joyce for thinking of mom. It has been two years, but still lies so heavy on my heart. I wish for a different reality, but it helps knowing how much mom loved life and how many good times she had. Today I will look at pictures mom, and see your smiling face over and over.

Oh Carol, such sad news. You were always so vivacious and energetic. You went out and did what others could only think about. I so admired you and your adventurous spirit. You will be much missed by many. Rest in peace, Carol.

Recognizing that we were kindred spirits, Carol and I became fast friends upon our first meeting in Denver more than three decades ago. We both loved to travel, ski, and sail and were always ready for a new adventure. We partyed together, laughed together, and cried together. I will never forget the warmth of her smile and her deep capacity for caring. It's difficult to accept that she is gone and that I will never see her again. She will always be in my memories and my heart.

Carol was a friend to so many. I lived in Durango & attended meetings at CDE & I often stayed at her house. She always had something going on with perfect details for every theme. During one visit, we went to the Botanical Gardens for a concert. She prepared a wonderful picnic dinner, She had a beautiful spirit and I am saddened that she has passed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was saddened to hear of Carol's death and send my condolences to you, Tod, and your brother Bret. Those of us who worked with Carol at CDE not only lost a friend but also someone who dedicated more than two decades to the state's children with hearing challenges,

Carol and Myron interviewed my for my first job here in Colorado. I would not have spent my life here, married, or raised my kids here if I didn't get that job. She was very influential in my professional life also. She will be missed by all of us who worked with her at CDE. I hope that she enjoyed her life after CDE, but I know that we had an eventful time when we were all there.

Kay's 65th birthday in Puerto Vallarta. We spent days hanging out on the beach beneath the palapa - indulging in margaritas, and whatever other snacks they'd bring us.
