Carol Dunlap was born August 31, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Ralph Barber and the late Victoria Dennis Barber.  She attended school in Meriwether County and finished school in Detroit, Michigan.  She later returned to Georgia. 

In her younger years of age, she took interest in sewing, which later taking her on to work for Playtex til closing.  She worked for the next six years as a nanny.

In her first union, she was married to Mr. Bernard Gates of Woodbury, Georgia.  And later on in her life she married the late Tommie L. Dunlap.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her four children: William (Evon) Parks, Jacqueline (Rodney) Lyons, Karon (Rev. Cedric) Stanford, and Algenard (Brenda) Gates; her step-children, Frankie Dunlap, Troy Dunlap, Danny Dunlap, Greg & Janice Crowder, Willie & Lisa Pope, Christopher & Sharlethia Dunlap; Her brother, Sylvester Barber (deceased); one sister, Bertha L. Ballard a.k.a. Mott; ten loving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
