"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET ANGEL!"
"Dear Carole, I know you were a "fashionista" here on earth, but nothing can compare to the fashion that God has for you when he places you in a beautiful pure white robe & golden slippers to welcome you into his heavenly kingdom. You are truly unforgettable & will be missed. I know we will all meet again in That Great Getting Up Morning. Until then-Dr. Gail P. Howard"

"I am so sad to hear of her passing. Founder's won't feel like a celebration without her there. We take comfort knowing you are now safe in His arms. I will be continually praying for this family."
"You're truly unforgettable. You loved shopping, cherished your family and friends and lived life to the fullest. I'll always remember my D.C. "roomie".
"Carol, for as long as I can remember, you always made me smile. Your resilient spirit and fun-loving personality were like no other and you will be sorely missed. My heart is heavy but I take comfort in knowing that those we love never really leave us. Special memories of love, laughter and good times are what keep them in our hearts forever. You are in my heart now and forever.
I love you,
"IDA B WELLS, IS WHERE WE MET, OVER 70 YEARS AGO. PROJECT BABIES. WE PLAYED TOGETHER AND GREW UP TO BE FRIENDS STILL. CLUB BUDDIES, AND EVENTUALLY CARD BUDDIES. A MOMENT IN TIME IS WHAT WE ARE. BUT OH WHAT A MOMENT, SAIL ON SILVER GIRL.///"
"My heart aches when I think about the reality that you won't be at the family holiday functions anymore.
For 46 years of my life it was always refreshing to hear your sweet voice and feel your warm presence. You ALWAYS lit up a room as soon as you walked in! You will be missed, but NEVER forgotten! You truly LIVED LIFE!"
"In my father's house their are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. I will miss your beautiful smile R.I.H."
"Carol, you never failed to give a compliment when you felt it was due and you held up the importance of family love and devotion always. Our granddaughter Mya had a friend and a fan in you whenever you were around and she reciprocated the feeling. There will be a void in our family gatherings now and everyone will have to eat my collard greens at Christmas. (Bummer)! May God rock you in His loving arms, for now you are truly one of His family.
Much love, Cousins Connie and Butch!"
"Carol your smile, warm spirit and generosity will be what I will keep in my heart. I love the sisterhood you and my mother shared and I know she will miss you so much. I know that God knows what is best and calls us to HIM at our appointed time! I have grown to understand and accept the mysteries of life. I love you dear one rest well you will be missed!
"I had the pleasure of meeting Aunt Carol at the home of Julius and Ova Carter some years ago. We would play bid wisk, sometimes as partners and sometimes as opponents. Regardless, we had fun. When on opposite teams, I would say to her, " I want some of that" and she would respond and " I want some of you" and smile.
One of my fondest memories is when Ova called me and told me that Carol wanted to come to Puerto Rico to help celebrate my birthday. That meant the world to me. She could light up a room. Always well dressed and spicy. I loved her sassy way and beautiful personality. We had a great time at the reception, the pool, the dinner party and brunch. She did not miss a beat. She will be missed.
Knowing Aunt Carol she is probably up in heaven shopping, running her mouth and playing cards. She was known to bid a NO Trump with nothing in her hand, counting on the kiddie and her partner. This speaks to her willingness and boldness to take chances. She lived life.
Aunt Carol I will see you again on the other side. We will runs a few more Boston's. Rest In Peace Sweet Carol."
"You Didn’t Have To
Thank you for what you did;
You didn’t have to do it.
I’m glad someone like you
Could help me to get through it.
I’ll always think of you
With a glad and grateful heart;
You are very special;
I knew it from the start!
see you at the cross road Auntie Carol
"You were the sister I never had and will never forget. I am grateful for the years we had together and will always cherish our genuine relationship as cousins. You exposed me to so much ,especially fashion and when I was much, much younger how to "speak up for myself".
Lastly, I am encouraged that our religion has taught us to understand spiritually that there is but one creator, God who unfolds all creation, and brings the sweet assurance of no parting, no pain, and of man deathless, and perfect and eternal. Love never dies.
"When you walked into a room, your energy immediately lit it up. You truly lived life to the fullest. You traveled at the drop of a dime, never missed a family function or party, and you would literally give the shirt off your back.
You're the best!
Thanks for making our lives and the world brighter just by your presence!
We love you Carol!
"I still remember the fun times we had at Ida B. Wells' playground. Sliding on the slides, swinging on the swings, playing tag and having a ball at all times. The memories are embedded in my heart now and forever more.
I'll miss your feisty, fun-loving personality; and most of all your voice. There will never be anyone flyer than you!!!!"
"Our time together goes back to ''Zeta Rho". our high school club.and now over 50 years of family togetherness. Most recent memories of our trips to San Juan and Washington D.C. stand out in my mind. I will cherish these remembered moments and miss you forever.
"My loving, one-of-a-kind, broke-the-mold cousin!! Truer words were never spoken!!!! Unforgettable!!! Until we meet again!!"
