I met Carol through the Concord chapter AAUW. What a kind and sincere woman, and she always made me feel welcome, especially since I was the "new kid" in AAUW and that is something that I will always cherish. I will always remember Carol, as you always remember those people that when they smiled at you, you knew it came truly from their heart.

The best mother in-law you could imagine, Carol always made me feel as part of the family from day one. I'll always remember her smiling - in fact, I cannot recall a single time with her when she was not smiling to some degree. She is missed severely, will never be forgotten and I am immensely saddened to be in a world without her presence.

Carol was such a special person. We worked together and enjoyed many dept. parties, lunches and cookie exchanges. She always had a smile for you no matter how crazy the day was. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and wish her family and Celeste prayers of comfort.

Dear family, I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was not only a classmate, girlscout friend, church friend, but also my 4th cousin. She was always so fun and thoughtful and smart. She was a kind person and I could just see her as a great nurse. May your wonderful memories give you strength and endurance. Sincere Sympathy.

I remember Carol while attending Turlock High School. She was always pleasant to the lower classmen, as I was two years behind her. It was wonderful to have this passed on. I'm so glad there was a picture of her in front of the Markely Park where her parents owned their dairy. R.I.P. Carol

Hi Slattens,
I'm so sorry to hear about Carol. Wish I could be there in Lafayette today. Gloria Terrace would not have been the same place growing up without her.

Carol, you were my teacher, my mentor, and my dear friend. More importantly, you were a kind, loving, and generous person with a great sense of humor. Working alongside you for ten plus years was such a privilege. I’ll always miss you and that wonderful smile of yours. I guess God needed you in heaven. Rest in peace, Carol.

Love,
Judith

I was very sorry to learn that Carol had passed away. Her sunny disposition and dedication made it a pleasure every time I went to see her in the office that she ran for the UC Berkeley Cancer Research Laboratory. She was always unstintingly helpful, good-natured and cheerful. She will be sorely missed, but very fondly remembered."

I am so sorry to learn that I will not see Carol again, nor hear her wonderful tales of travel, catch her never-ending enthusiasm for life. She always had a smile, always gave me a smile. My heart goes out to her daughters and closest friends who must miss her terribly every moment. Peace and love,
Holly

Carol, I will miss you dearly. At work, there was never a problem you couldn't solve or red tape you couldn't cut through, all with an encouraging wink and a smile. But what I will always remember you for was your warmth and gracious kindness, never failing to brighten the spirits of all the lives you touched.

I am just stocked in the passing of Carol. I am the Treasurer of Chapter 107 clock group of which Carol was active, and I last saw her at the Christmas Lunch, She was so happy and kind. I will miss her smiling face. I will add her to my pray list.
