When Moma was 13 my granddaddy bought her a horse. She was young and fearless. She would go out and ride all day. Her and Nellie would have a great time. But Granddaddy was a bit over protective, he didn't want Moma to get hurt. And would always say that horse is gonna hurt you, that horse is gonna throw you. But Moma would say " No Daddy Nellie wouldn't hurt me we are the best of friends. Moma loved animals and we had the love of horses in common. I can see her sitting up on that paint right now, Riding off into the sunset.
