Happy Birthday, Carolyn.
It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our sister Carolyn McIntyre on June 14, 2010 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she resided.
Carolyn was born on August 7, 1967 in Glace Bay to the late Joan (Somerton) and Fabian McIntyre. She was survived by her sister Kathy (Paul) Stanford (Dartmouth, NS), sister Denise McIntyre (London, ON) and brother Fabian (Julie) McIntyre (Orlando, Fl). She was the aunt to nieces Laura and Morgan, and nephews Jason, Mark and Matthew. Carolyn graduated from St. Michael’s High School and attended Dalhousie University, Miss Murphy’s Business College, Assiniboine Community College and Gold Coast School of Real Estate. In the past 10 years Carolyn had great success in Real Estate Sales in Florida. Prior to her career in real estate Carolyn had a successful career in news broadcasting throughout Canada and the US.
Carolyn will be remembered for her vivacious spirit, smile, laughter, and love for life. A private family viewing followed by cremation took place in Ft. Lauderdale. On August 21st. at 2pm a service will take place at the family gravesite in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

I just thought of the funniest story. I was babysitting at my aunt's. You, Lynn Fraser, Tricia Boutilier were there. We were listening to the radio. The top hits. Lol
You called the radio station, requesting a song, and spoke to the announcer for an hour or more. I dont recall all of the content but you pretended to be from another station, we were all laughing so hard. Mostly because of the faces you were making. RIP

Thinking of you this morning, like I do many days. I am reminded of you when I hear a song, smell a perfume scent that is like yours, when I hear myself laugh and others say you sound and look so much like Carolyn. As Morgan and Matthew grow up I think about the love you had for them and wish that you could see how beautiful they are. I'm sure you would be right along with us supporting Fabian is his challenging journey. You are missed and I keep a ton of love in my heart for you. Whenever I am asked to to go somewhere or do something adventurous and fun, I choose to live life out loud because losing you was such a reminder that life can be short. Miss you darlin.

June 14th will always be a reminder of how shocking it was to learn of Carolyn's passing. Today I miss her so much and wish she was still here with us. She was so full of life. I know she would have been by our brother Fabian's side this year since his stroke in September. We are all blessed as a family to know Carolyn's sweet and very funny side. Carolyn is missed by many.

I have searched for Carolyn many many times as we have lost touch over the years and I think about her often. When I do I search and could not find her on Facebook, etc. Today was a day when I thought of her again and did a search except I looked at photos this time. To my shock, it brought me to a memorial page. I am so sorry for your loss.

I wake with a very heavy heart today Carolyn as I remember the phone call that meant such a void in our lives forever more. I miss you every day. As our family gets together for a week in July, you will be so missed. Some of my funnest and craziest times were when Carolyn and I were both living in BC, we had an awesome time together. You shared my Dad's birthday, he was 69 on Friday. Thought about you for a bit, smiled and continued on with my day. I went camping on the Mira this weekend. Remember when we went camping with my Mom, Marlene Proctor and the boys from New Waterford? It was so much fun.

As the clock struck midnight my friends and I did a toast to your life. I showed them your beautiful picture. Then we all got on the dance floor just as I know you would love to do. My heart felt heavy as I wondered what life would be like for you now and for all of us as a family. I miss you and our family times together is not complete without you. Jason often says I look so much like you, especially when I am wearing a ponytail. That makes me smile as it somehow makes me feel closer to you. Miss you every day. I am leaving for Halifax on Friday. I wish you were there too.

To the McIntyre Family:
I knew Carolyn in Grade 7 at St Anne's School in Glace Bay, N.S. I always remembered her even when I transferred to Holy Cross School the year after. She was always smiling and seemed like nothing could get her angry at any time. Her laugh I can still hear as it was infectuous. There is nothing worse than to hear of a friends passing, especially a friend a nice as Carolyn was - that she was a really nice person to everyone and who showed that she actaully cared.
To Carolyn , Thank you for being a good friend to me and may God keep you safe!!!
