Your 49th birthday

As the clock struck midnight my friends and I did a toast to your life. I showed them your beautiful picture. Then we all got on the dance floor just as I know you would love to do. My heart felt heavy as I wondered what life would be like for you now and for all of us as a family. I miss you and our family times together is not complete without you. Jason often says I look so much like you, especially when I am wearing a ponytail. That makes me smile as it somehow makes me feel closer to you. Miss you every day. I am leaving for Halifax on Friday. I wish you were there too.

A beautiful lady with beautiful smile

To the McIntyre Family:

I knew Carolyn in Grade 7 at St Anne's School in Glace Bay, N.S. I always remembered her even when I transferred to Holy Cross School the year after. She was always smiling and seemed like nothing could get her angry at any time. Her laugh I can still hear as it was infectuous. There is nothing worse than to hear of a friends passing, especially a friend a nice as Carolyn was - that she was a really nice person to everyone and who showed that she actaully cared.

To Carolyn , Thank you for being a good friend to me and may God keep you safe!!!

God Bless ya buds!!!

I will miss her very very much!!!

Thanks so much for our friendship. Carolyn you were one of a kind. I will never forget you, our memories and all the wonderful experiences we shared. You were my biggest fan and helped me mend many broken hearts and helped me pick up the pieces. You understood me and never judged me, so forgiving and for that I am truly grateful. You helped me be strong and always encouraged me, you taught me about life and people. I want to thank you for our years, being my friend and our journey. You were smart, full of life, so beautiful inside and out, had a wonderful spirit, giving and vivacious. I really miss you and think of you everyday, I can't believe you are gone. Thank you for our time and I promise I will never forget you. Until next time....Love Bilynda xooxxoxoxoxoxoxo

From the Old Testament of the Bible    Ecclesiastes III   3:1-3:8 ( adapted)

  • To everything there is a season,
  • A time for everything under the sun
  • A time to be born and a time to die
  • A time to laugh and a time to cry
  • A time to dance and a time to mourn
  • A time to seek and a time to let go.
  • This is the time we remember
  • One who gave meaning to our lives.
  • This is the time we remember the bonds that tied us together,
  • The love that we shared,

And the memories that remain with us still.

May we remember well her smile, her laughter, her companionship, her conversations, her life.

A ray of sunshine......

Carolyn and I have known each other for over 30 yrs.  I am stunned that she is gone.  She was joyful, fun, and loving.  She was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known.  She was a wonderful friend with the warmest of hearts.  She always made me feel safe and loved.  You could tell her anything and she would be understanding or just make you laugh...whatever you needed.  I have had only 2 people in my life that have done this for me, and Carolyn was the first.  She didn't laugh at the ugly outfit I wore the first day of Grade 6, she just became my friend.  That is a true friend...a "girlfriend".

Love Gail

I have lost several close friends and family over the last 15 yrs, and even though I know Carolyn knew how much I loved her, many people don't express how they feel about family and friends until it is too late.

To honour Carolyn's life, please tell those you love and care about, how you feel....never let "I love you" be unsaid.

Remembering Carolyn

Shared by Lynn Gallant-Blackburn on June 24, 2010

Dear Denise, Kathy and Fabian,

This site is a wonderful tribute to a beautiful woman, sister and friend. Her smile was infectious and her laughter was filled with genuine happiness! She brightened the lives of all she touched and will be remembered very affectionately. We were all so very blessed to have someone as vivacious as Carolyn touch our souls as she truly taught us to enjoy life to our full potential…each and every day!
I remember her fondly as Denise’s baby sister and one of my sister Lana’s close friends. After we all left Glace Bay, the connection remained and Carolyn always remained in touch with Lana, no matter where her travels took her. She was a great friend to so many.
In her very short forty two years of life, she accomplished more than many would have accomplish in ten lifetimes! Her enthusiasm and courage to fulfill her dreams was inspiring and I know her family is all very proud of her.
I feel your heartache and the magnitude  your loss. It is such a tragedy to lose someone you love at any time, but to lose someone so young, and so unexpectedly, well there are no words to describe the depth of sorrow you carry in your heart. Surround yourself with the memories you shared with Carolyn and feel her presence comforting you. She will always be forever in our hearts and as someone told me, she will never die as long as you continue to remember her.
Thank you for creating this tribute and for sharing your memories and the special pictures.
God bless you and know I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,
Love Lynn Gallant-Blackburn
