A native of Columbus, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Dan and Alene Bowman Cobb. For the past 21 years, she was a Transportation Specialist with the Muscogee County School District. She was a 1976 graduate of Kendrick High School.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Cobb.

Surviving are a loving daughter and an adorable granddaughter, April Cobb and Anastasia Cobb; two sisters, Patricia Brenson and Deborah Cobb; one brother, Danny Cobb(Eunice); two uncles, James Cobb(Ruby) and Michael Cobb; two aunts, Pauline Bowman and Bobbie McAfee; one niece, Dana Horne(Gabe); two nephews, Maricus Cobb(Brandi) and Michael Brenson(Latrice); and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
