On November 8, 2019, the world suffered the tragic and sudden loss of Carrie High
Wittekind, age 43, of Spring Hill, Tennessee. She leaves behind her loving husband,
Adam Wittekind, children Maury, Mada, and Drew; mother Charlotte Bass Smith (Othal -
deceased); father Jim High (Gigi); sister Morgan High Orgain (Robert), niece Charlee;
in-laws Beth and Mark Wittekind; brother-in-law Russ Wittekind (Brandy), nephews
Colton, Wyatt and Camden of Paola, KS; sister-in-law Julie Wittekind Cunnigham
(Chris), niece Ellie of Murfreesboro; aunts Betty Bass Robinson (Brad) of Old Hickory,
Diane Bass Dawson of Hodgenville, Ky; and step-brothers Trey Smith (Donna) of
Paducah, KY and David Smith (Leah) of Pensacola, FL. She also leaves behind many
beloved friends.
Carrie is a graduate of Fred J. Page High School and Middle Tennessee State
University, class of 1999. She was a gifted artist, painter and muralist, and owner of
CHigh Designs. Carrie was a beautiful, loving, compassionate woman who loved
fiercely and put her family first. She enjoyed spending time on the Tennessee River with
family and friends. Carrie’s joy was contagious, and her life was dedicated to those she
loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, from 12-5pm at Sage
Creek Farms at 7209 Kingston Road, Fairview, TN 37062, and all family and friends
are welcome (casual attire).
