His Life

Catalino "Bert" Isaguirre Dumlao, Jr.

Catalino I. Dumlao Jr. AKA "Bert"  "Berting" was born on February 3, 1936 in Gattaran Cagayan Philippines to the late Catalino Abad Dumlao Sr. and the late Simeona Isaguirre Dumlao. In the Philippines, Catalino was the head of a local community (Barangay Captain) where he oversaw local projects including the construction of a High School and of a church. To serve his community security. In Seattle, he shared his many years working at Seattle Wash, Eagle Hardware and at The Theodora Volunteers of America, and then retired in 2002. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing his guitar, banjo, ukulele, and loves to do fishing and raising animals. He also adored his numerous powered vehicles.

He was a very active and hardworking man who truly loved the Lord. He serve as a member of the Filipino Assemblies of the First Born - Philippines, Church of Today- Philippines, The Way of Salvation Church - Seattle, and Burien Assemblies of God church.

He left behind his wife of 48 years, Estela Mayer Dumlao; 8 children and their spouses: Jessie & Jossie Dumlao, Macrina & Zaldy Ulibas, Agnes & Stephen Palino, Juvy & Johnson Low, Aurora & Randy Soriano, Shella & Joselito Magsakay, Bernice & Edilberto Molina, and Manases & Myrine Dumlao; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 6 sisters: Visitacion Cariaso, Emirenciana Barbosa, Leticia Yagyagan, Maxima Cabugon, Elizabeth Tamayo, and the late Rebecca Salvador.

During the critical phase of his life, he was far from the rest of his children who were in the Philippines. All he would do is touch their faces on the monitor screen via webcam. Even though part of his family whom he treasured greatly was not physically present at the moment  of his last hour on this earth...his presence never leave his family. The love he planted has been engraved into their hearts.

He devoted his life to his family and affirm what he believed..."that he lives his life under God's Grace". He sheltered his life under the care of God.
