Catherine Alice Brook Tippett, 92, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 4, 2018.
Born on April 2, 1926 in Greensboro, Ga., she lived most of her adult life in Creedmoor, NC and Oxford, NC. She retired from Murdoch Center as a teacher, in 1979. After retiring from Murdoch she wrote a weekly article about local community events in the Butner Creedmoor News for 17 years and worked at Creedmoor Drug.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orasho Bradley and Mary Anna Parks Brook, her brothers, Garland, O.B. Jr., and Cecil, her sister, Ruth B. Huff, an adopted son, Crayton Gray Nelms, and a granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Tippett. Catherine is survived by her sons, Louis Bradley Tippett (Jane), Steven Wayne Tippett (Pamela) and Larry Eugene Tippett, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor by Rev. Steve Brown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.

Our deepest sympathy to the Tippett family and especially Bradley and Jane.
I have known Catherine since I was a child and remember when she and
her family moved to Oxford. They were a fine Christian family and we
considered them family to us. We had fun visits with her at Brantwood and
she started joking with us the minute we entered the door. I know of no one
on this earth who has given of herself any more than she did. We will truly
miss her - she is our loss , but HEAVEN'S gain. The angels are rejoicing. Our
prayers and love.

You are very much in our prayers as you pass through this time of loss. What a full life of 92 years she had on this earth yet in very likely pales in comparison to the angelic choirs and glorious redemption of stepping into heaven!
