Today is a day that I'm remembering the "light" of Catherine.  I'm so fortunate to have had a part in her story.  I'm hoping you will contribute your best understanding of the shiny parts of her in an effort to collect them here and give them to Caleigh.

xoxo,
Suzanne

So sad to hear Catherine. I knew her only through my sister ( Suzanne McDaniel) but grew up hearing of all the fun and adventure she and my sister would have. Everytime I had the pleasure of seeing her- she brought a smile to my face and always looked so beautiful! I looked forward to any occasion I took part in of my sister's where i knew she would be there. Though I've never met Caleigh- I'm know her mom's beauty inside and out will live on in her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Catherine! I was at YHC with her. I hope her family and friends will draw comfort from her memories and that God will give you peace.

I worked with Catherine for a brief time several years ago and she left a great impression on me - as she did with probably everyone she encountered. She was beautiful, fun, charming, and a genuinely nice person. Her smile was infectious. After she left, I didn't see her again for some time when we finally got together for lunch. Caleigh was a baby at the time and Catherine just beamed when she spoke of her. She loved her daughter more than anything and it was easy to tell she was the center of her world and her heart. I know Caleigh will grow up to be a happy, strong, smart and charming woman, like her mom. My sincerest condolences to her whole family.

I met my sister for 1st time at 16. I remember so distinctly her and Gary at the screen door asking for our dad. It was the first time I knew I had a sister and brother. She was a force to be reckoned with. I idolized her, followed her around and wished I could be like her. She had an uncanny ability to walk into a room and every head turned to her and noticed nothing else.
I remember Gary and Shela's wedding, Germany and the Map Nazi me and ida gave her that name. I remember her taking me to parties of prominent people and she had them treating her like she was royalty. What I remember most is her taking the mother role and forcing me to straighten up. And I did it you really could not tell her no back then. She had a good life, good friends and a great family. That is the sister I choose to remember.
She was my guardian Angel on earth and I suspect it will continue......for all of us, the real Catherine. I love you Cat, and though I cannot be there to say goodbye, I know you know I am there. The hole in my heart will never be filled because I lost my sister way to soon. I will see you again

Caleigh, your Mom was so very special. She had an amazing ability to bring joy to everyone she touched. I lived in the adjoining room next to her in college. We had so much fun being goofy together. I remember eating Chinese with her one time and she found half a worm on her food. She was so funny about it. We laughed for hours thinking about where the other half was. My prayers are with you always.
