I haven't seen Cathy (in person) in over a decade but, I will always remember her smile and her platinum blonde hair. She was almost always smiling and that is the image I will remember when I think of her.

She was one of the hardest workers I will ever know and one tough cookie. Cathy past that along to her daughter, who is the same. I wish you could have been able to stick around a little longer to spend more time with your family. But I am glad you have no more pain.

To Jimmy's Blondie! May She Rest in Peace.

Working with my mom

April 22, 2021
My mom taught me everything I know about being a hard worker and a good employee. We had the opportunity to work together at 4 different times in our life and got to create lasting memories that we would still joke and laugh about years later.

My first job at 16 was as a bedmaker in a nursing home in Plymouth where she was a CNA and I didn't want to call her "Mom" in front of our co-workers, so I started calling her Cathy/Cat and pretty always did from that point forward. We worked together a few years later at the Wareham Walmart when I was 19. And then I got to work with her and have her teach me how to be a waitress and a short order cook at Joe's Diner/Blondie's Ice Cream and then finally at the Galaxy Grill after that before she and Jimmy moved to Florida. It was definitely a family business - my son Matthew worked scooping ice cream at the Galaxy Grill with us too!
