Cathy Oakley Thompson, 66, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC.

Cathy was born in Granville County on February 13, 1953 to the late Dee Oakley and Linda Levan. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Thompson of Butner and her son, Chester (Chet) Thompson of Butner.  She retired from John Umstead Hospital in Butner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Lenny Rogers.  Entombment will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

She leaves behind her friends Mary Daniel, Fay Rich, Mae Hight, Libby Waters and Diane Oakley all of Butner, Becky Jackson of Charleston, S.C., Taffy Jones of Rougemont, Kenneth Bass of Fayetteville and Duwonie Cash of Virginia; aunts, uncle, cousins, niece, nephew, great nephew and one great-great niece.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 prior to the funeral service at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
