This will be the fourth Father's Day without my dad I miss him so much everyday. With each day that passes I find I'm more like him and I ever thought possible

Happy Birthday Cecil. Angels watching over you and with you as you join the chorus . My memories of you are fond, such a gentleman. You were such a snappy dresser. I enjoyed our time together. Our Christmas party was more memorable because you were there. Say Hi to Jesus for me, as I know you are by His side.

My condolences to Lola and the family from Toronto Canada. Cecil
was my mother's cousin and a fine man. Someone who led by example
and always had good advice for those who needed guidance. I will miss him. RIP my cousin.

A memorial has been set up in honor of Cecil A. Davis at
Palo Cristi Presbyterian Church
3535 E. Lincoln Drive
Paradise Valley, AZ 85253

The memorial will go to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for the poor. Cecil was a member of this church since 1975 when it's name was Camelback Presbyterian Church. He was a deacon and elder there. He also dedicated much of his spare time working with Habitat for Humanity in Arizona and Iowa. He had the opportunity to meet Millard Fuller , the founder of Habitat for Humanity in the 1980's.
He also worked with Amor in Mexico to build housing for the homeless.
He did this in cooperation with Camelback Presbyterian Church in Phoenix, Az

We remember Cecil and his love of family, life, adventure, education and more. We recall the good times in Chicago, Iowa, New York,
St. Louis and Arizona. He was a man whom God blessed and who was a blessing to us. RIP.

I intended sending this message weeks ago, but two cataract surgeries and slow recovery prevented me from doing so. I don't have access to Facebook so I could not contribute a fitting tribute to my 'Brother' Cecil. However, you know how I cherished being included among his close friends.

I was fortunate to be one the "Brothers" whom Cecil associated with during his residence in Chicago. Cecil not only occasionally beat us at dominoes, but he was relied on to enliven our group conversations with wisdom and humor. I enjoyed meeting with Cecil, my natural brother, Lesney, David Worrell, Milton
Worrell Neville Dehaan and Colin Cholmondeley. Lesney and David went ahead of Cecil, and the three of them are now in a better place, but the remaining members of our group surely miss each of them.


Ruby and I send our condolence to you and the entire Davis family. We hope you are coping well with your immeasurable loss. Keep on keeping on.

Steve and I will truly miss you and your stories, they made me smile and the way you smiled at me was warm and inviting. You were a wonderful man and left a void in our hearts. RIP Cecil you are with Angels like yourself

I remember meeting Cecil for the first time at the Machine Shed restaurant in Des Moines. Over dinner, he told the story of how he came to America and earned everything from the ground up, including a world-class education, and met the love of his life. His life was the very definition of what it means to achieve the American dream.

We miss you uncle, miles kept us apart but you were always in our hearts. Now that you have gone to be with the lord let your memory keep us together. May you rest in peace.

Even though I didn't always understand every word Cecil said, I always enjoyed hearing his stories - and he had many of them. He was truly an amazing man and will be missed by many.
