Chad was born April 25, 1978, the son of Dan Youngs and Robin (Vanderslice) Youngs in Unionville, MO.  The family moved to Gallatin in 1979 where Chad lived his entire life.  He graduated from Gallatin High School in 1997 and began his working career at the Whitfield Oil Company where he was employed for 3 years.   In 2000, he took an entry level position at the City of Gallatin and through the years worked his way up the ladder and had just received his Journeyman Lineman Certification. He was always striving to better his skills and when opportunity would arise he would take classes to be proficient in his field.  He was also licensed in water and waste water distributions.  Chad was united in marriage to Krystal Huff March 27, 2010 in Gallatin where they made their home.  He had a great disposition; serving the community and its residents was always his goal.

In 2001, Chad joined the Gallatin Fire Department and was presently serving as the captain.  He was a diver for the fire district and had been certified for confined space rescue which he was very proud of.  In 2003 Chad received his EMT certification.  He was community minded and was at his best when he was serving and helping the public,

Chad was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.   He adored his family and loved to spend time with them, caring for their needs was always a priority. His camaraderie with his work buddies and friends was apparent; he always had their best interest at heart.  His great smile, compassion for others and willingness to help when called upon made him the man he was.  Chad was an amazing young man who touched many people, his civic endeavors will be remembered and missed by his family and community.  To know Chad was to love him. He made a lasting impression with those of us that are left behind and he will remain forever in our hearts and minds.
