still missing you, how do we find peace

November 21, 2012

I was watching Amakhosi playing a beutiful game yeterday and the st person I thought of calling after the win was you. I cant find the words to express how much I love you and miss you my friend. I keep looking back at all things you aked me to join listen to conevrsation we had, chats and none of them can bring you back.

Im not good at dealing with loss and loosing you has made start questioning my faith, its un understandable, its still unimaginable and unbearable at times. i wish you could just give us a sign just to show us you are ok.

As ussual my friend i had to share with you one way or another about our victory. Amakhosi amahle , we played  a beautiful game and we won in the last second. im pretty sure you were smilling and dancing, lol! stiff body and all but we all know you still danced cause giving up was never an option with you.

whereever you are please know that you were luved, you left us with a huge hole bigger than the kimberly mine and we have no way of  closing it.

Every one of you friends came to your farewell and it wasnt easy, we hated the reason why we were there, we all wanted this to be a joke. It wasnt easy fro anyone.

till we meet again my friend

a good friend

November 13, 2012

Like the roots of a tree, they are hard to find because they are not trying to be seen. Their only job is to hold you up and help you live a strong and healthy life. If you thrive, they are happy. They stay low key and don't let the world know that they are there. And if you go through an awful storm they will hold you up. Their job is to hold you up, come what may, and to nourish you, feed you and water you.
He has been a good "root" of our friendship, became good friends after vaal, damn we got along so well, what i will miss the most is the recipes we used to exchange, my day is seriously incomplete, i missing you already, no day went by without chatting to u :-(, used to confide in him mare ke thato ya modimo

Man of honor

November 9, 2012

Thabang, as per the story title, was indeed a man of honor. Upon learning of his sudden passing, I kept asking myself questions I could not get answers to, to date. I asked myself what could have happened to cause that fatal accident which claimed his life? why did he have to leave so soon? Did a tyre burst? As I was deep in thoughts and my emotions hijacked by the sad news whereby my brain could not think straight I then switched off from trying to make out what might have caused the accident and then examined my knowledge of Thabang and below is that knowledge.

I met Thabang in 2002 when I repeated my Grade10 and he was from Grade 9. I was a trouble child, what was wrong was right with me and what was right was wrongh, so me and Mr. T as we used to call him were two complete opposites when it comes to characteristics and goals. Upon sharing a class with him we also did the same subjects so we shared every class I spent every hour in school with Thabang for 3 years even though we were complete opposites and as time went by I developed respect for him and I can guarantee you I was not alone, we all respected Thabang for he was harmless, jolly, dedicated and very respectful and hard working. I can only think of the good times we shared for he was not a person to hold grudges or engage in silly arguments or fights. Majority of best friends back in high never made to the last class or to graduation, they were imprisoned one by one and others died whilst we were in school. So I was blessed to have been next to Thabang for he influenced a chenge in me even though he never mentioned. He encouraged me to study and make the best of the time I am given to be in school. I traded my bad habits for habits similar to Thabang's and I am reaping the rewards in a way that, as I am relating this story I am sitting in a cosy and lavish office in Sandton opposite Mandela square, working for a very reputable American company and I am a manager in one of the biggest divisions in the entire company all courtesy of Thabang for making me realise the importance of self reliance and hard work hence the story title "Man of honor" he was indeed. He was so influential in a very positive way that one could not stand the sight of Thabang if they had no self control and were not goal driven in their actions.

I heard Thabang's parents are both mute or deaf and I thought ohhkaaaay!! so he is a special child hence all the good things about him then again I thought he is a normal child who is motivated by his family background and driven by respect. Thabang's parents must know that they raised an Angel of God when they say history repeats itself I think hisotry has repeated itself the greatest story ever told that of Jesus Christ has some common factors to that of Thabang. God borrowed the Couple with hearing impairment and mute conditions Thabang so they can be happy (Thabang) and make their life on earth worthwhile through this humble soul who is Thabang. He dedicated his life and efforts to only good deeds. So it was time God took back his angel as he was on lease to the couple with a condition. Thabang went back to where he came from as he was actually not the Tsotetsi child but heaven's child but bear in mind Oratilwe is thee child. Oratilwe Thabang Solom Tsotetsi ka nako ya hae mona lefatsheng jwale o le sile le lona lerato leo, tshwarang le be mmoho, le ratane ba banyane ba hlomphe ba holo ka nako tsohle mme ba baholo ba hlokomele ba banyane ka nako tsohle.

Robala ka Kgotso motswalle Thabang, moya wa hao o fihle matsohong a ntate Modimo mme rona re tla sala re lokisetsa tsela ya ho fihla moo o leng ka ho kgotlela metsamaong ya hao. Ke a tseba hore o nale Ntate Modimo moo ole teng mme ha ke batla ho pheta ke be le wena bopholeng bo sa feleng botlang ke tlamatse ho lokisa tsela yaka ho na jwale.

November 7, 2012

WOW! still in shock, last time i spoke to him friday afternoon, conversation was about khaya fm talk he asked me to listen to then quickly turned to his silliness.

what i will miss about him mostly his honesty, I remeber askign him what he thought of me getting back together with an assumed changed x and he said and i quote
thabang: " well if u claim to luv him then it doesnt matter what i say u still want to be treated like trash"
me: " is that what u think of me, wena he unshebile  "
Thabang:  " no i think u  beutiful, intelligent young lady but then its not about what i think about you, its about what u see when u luk in the mirror, u always treated the way u present ureself"
Me: huu! haige wena Ophra tsotetsi, ebe uthomile'
thabang: lol! ke bua gagulu ne

after that conversation i did what every beutiful intelligent woman would do, i listened and acted accordingly.

I will MISS HIM mostly for , his laugh, the pose, the galaxy (greatest phone) , FNb talk (best bank), parental talk, realationships talk, the group trips we all took, the sharing, sick sense of humour (he was a baby at heart), luv of good music most importatntly he never said I love but raher showed it with the warm long hugs, kiss on forehead and the look with his dancing chineese eyes, he cared so much about people well being, his luv for his friends (he alwsys said how much he didnt wanna loose any of his friend, it was just unbearable ), his convincing nature ( join this and that, its for a good cause)

its too soon to say goodbye thabang, you were worth more than the years you got, right now I know where ever u r, u are not the happiest soul cause one thign u never ever wanted was to hurt anyone, or make anyone cry, its not ure fault and unfortunately  we cant help but feel lost,  cry all the time,  loose our way because of this, have sleepless nights, feel traumatised  by ure passing, I cant help but miss you even more and I long to see you just one last time or give u a hug just one last time then will probably kick u after for leaving all of us

U were luved morwa Tsotetsi nd always will be missed, rise to the havens khosi and hamba kahle muntu omuhle. naturena lost a tribe member/ ure family lost a son and we lost a brother  but the hevens gained and angel may the sound of the trumphets be heard by all For the prince has come home.

*ps make sure u at the gate to welcome me when i come home. lol! yes i know i made u smile up in haven

I tell him im hungry on a sunday evening and am not keen on eating bread (always used to tease me about how my cooking sucked)...ask him if i can get a plate of food, he says yeah sure coz he was cooking anyways....after cooking he decides to go to sandton for a movie, nna ke eme waiting for him to bring the food.then he tells me i should come collect, i get a container and ask Teboho to go get the food. Then he tells me he got bored and decided to go to Sandton for a movie and i ended up getting any supper.

I made it a big issue just for the fun of it, kante he took offence and was very apologetic...this is what he sent me:

"We adults with kids, our kids should be the ones behaving the way we just did, so i apologise for anything inapporpriate or offending stuff i said...wasnt cool of me.so sorry about that. Enjoy the rest of your day, it its not ruined already"

Thats how cool he was......he was always the bigger man! Surely am gona miss my friend....hopefully hel have finger nails(he would have stopped biting his nails) when we meet again.

Last words with Thabang

November 6, 2012

Thabang played well on Friday night Centurion Indoor soccer as our keeper. After the game he said ke ya Kasie then I joked with him saying are you to Duduza to check if Sandy Hurricane did not destroy and his last words to me was Hayi Suka there won't be any Tornado again.

Thabang I am glad that I met you and will always be grateful that I was the first person who interviewed you and gave you work because I liked you just by looking at your CV not even before we officially met. The first time I saw him from a distance was when he was Graduating for National Diploma (F.I.S)I even stood up because He got a Cum Laude then two months later his CV was emailed to me.
