The day that you left us
Tears fell from the sky
Our hearts filled with sorrow
Your final goodbye

While our hearts are now filled
With sadness and tears
We had many good memories
You will always be near

Dear Pa/Grandpa if you are listening say a prayer for us every day
Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way
We know when God called you, you had to go
But we want you to know Pa/Grandpa we miss you and we love you so much

Although he has gone we will always be together
And his spirit will live on each one of us forever
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star
As that will be Pa/Grandpa looking down on us from afar

For blessing us with our Pa/Grandpa with his kindness and love

Dad I love you Today (14 July 2009) is the worst day of my life. I'm thinking about you. I know you have a lot on your mind and I know you have a tough road ahead. Just try not to worry too much. I know your whole life was centered around giving a good life to mum and your children. We do have a good life. You're the best dad we could ever ask for and I wouldn't trade one second of my childhood. You taught me to do the same for my children. When I went to Bradon's school today I saw the same look in his eye that I gave you when I was a kid. ~I love you with all of my heart.~ I wouldn't trade a second of my childhood for all of the money in the world.

Grandpa, you are my special joy. I get a warm, safe, contented feeling when I think of you. With you, I feel no pressure to be what someone else wants me to be; you love me enough to let me be me. You're never in a hurry; You always take time to listen and to help. You are always there for me when I need you; You're never too busy for talks, for walks. I can count on your wisdom, your life experience, your understanding heart to help me comprehend and get through challenges you've already faced. You are part parent, part teacher, part best friend. Your strength and your easy, calm confidence is your legacy to me, and I love you dearly.
