I just spent 2 weeks at the lake with Lily! I can't say enough how proud Chantell would be. Lily has her hands, as she ties friendship bracelets and carries my children, I can just imagine how Chantell would have enjoyed her time with us at the lake, crafting, enjoying the fire and helping my children grow. What a loss:( I miss her so much.

Today the 26th of July, Chantell would have been 35!
Oh how I long to see her face and give her a big hug!
Oh how much Duncan and Lily have grown!
How sad to not have a Mom to hug you and tell you everything will be OK!
But the truth is life does go on and Chantell continues to live in the faces of her children and our hearts.LUV

Today my daughter Chantell has been gone from our presence for seven years! I miss as much or more! To see her children and how well they seem to have adjusted to not having a Mom is a credit to how much love and care she gave them in a short while. Chantell is missed so very much!

Seven years have gone by so fast; however, it seems like it was just yesterday. I still have such fond memories of all the great times we had together over the 4 years we lived closer to the Janzen's. Chantell had an amazing positive outlook and she enjoyed every minute she spent with Duncan and Lily. They are both so lucky that they have so much of her spirit in them. Gone too soon!

I remember Chantel growing up, going to school and Sunday School. She rode bikes with Darren and Jeff. She had a beautiful smile and was always ready to chat. She and Russ came over one day on the quad with young Duncan and visited and hung out. I met her many times walking the kids and the dog. :)

My first glimpse of Chantelle was over her mother's shoulder when as a new mother Corrine was proud to share her daughter with her Aunt Belle (my grandmother). Chantelle was a beautiful baby.

I loved my Daughter, Chantell very much and my heart aches more than I care to share. She was a delight to know and to spend time with. Her desire to be a great Mother was accomplished! Chantell had the ability to show love to all she meet and to share her beautiful smile.
The world is better having had Chantell in it , even for the short time of 27 Years!y

Well what can I say...I miss her so much. Chantelle is my cousin and we spent alot of time together growing up, all the way up until the year she passed. I managed to see her one last time in the summer but wish now I would have heard more of her wonderful camping stories or adventurous trips with the kids.I think about her all the time and talk about her just as much if she was still here

Seven years ago today I was on a flight from Alberta to our new home in Ontario with my husband and two cats.
It was such an adventure for us and we were so excited.  As soon as we landed and went to claim our luggage, I had to call my Mom as something was not right.  What a shock to hear the terrible news of my cousin's passing.
All I could do is think of those two beautiful children she had left behind and how could they cope without their amazing Mother.  Luckily for Duncan and Lily, Chantell was able to instill so much goodness into them.  They have so much of their loving mother's gentle way.
Unfortunately, we have lost my wonderful Mother as well, and it gives me peace to think Mom is still teaching Chantell some of her secrets and special recipes as they berry pick in a beautiful spot saved for them by Nanny - who loved them both so much!

Seven Years Have Passed

November 16, 2012
Today Chantell has been gone 7 years! It seems like yesterday that Papa and I had to tell Duncan and Lily that their Mom was not coming home! That she had died! A lot as happened this past seven years! Duncan and Lily have become responsible and loving young people. Russell continues to do his best to support them with help from the Grandparents. But it is still very sad that our beautiful daughter is not here sharing life with us. Life does go on and I know that Chantell would not want us to be sad, but to carry on and remember what we shared. The love, the hope for a bright future for us all and to always find something in our day to be grateful for! Chantell was loving and kind to all so we can honor her memory by being the best loving and kind people possible! I am missing Chantell more and more rather then less and less! The pain has become more bearable as time passes, and with God's grace we will pass through this time of grieving.

Grandfather Len's Gift

May 2, 2012
After Lily was born her grandpa Leonard Janzen gifted her with a puppy, a Blue Healer, Cross named Louis, Lily and Louis were the same age 8 weeks old. So not only did she train the puppy at the same time training Duncan and nursing Lily! Chantell was busy in the early years and most of her time was spent outside. Lily was born in January and the first week of her life she was out quading and is still enjoying it today. The day of the funeral, there wasn't a hesitation to Louis's presence in the Church! He was a welcome addition to the Celebration of Chantell's Life! Louis and Lily have just had their 12th Birthday's. Hope they share many more together. A DOG is truly Man's Best Friend!
