Charlene Wiles-Perry, 66, of Poplar Branch NC, passed away January 4, 2021. She was born to the late Charles and Dorothy Wiles on September 22, 1954 in Buffalo, NY. She graduated from Cassadaga Valley Central School, then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from SUNY College at Fredonia, where she continued to work upon graduation before moving to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Charlene raised her four children in Western New York before sending them off to raise children of their own. She had three daughters - Rebecca Walker of Virginia Beach, VA, Sarah Anderson of North East, PA, and Wanda Thurston of Poplar Branch, NC - and a son, Casimiro Serrant of Grandy, NC. His wife, Elaina, was a welcome bonus daughter. Charlene had ten wonderful grandchildren - Kaylee, Logan, Sebastian, Emily Jo, Lanie, Cameron, Leland, Charlotte, Addison, and Elijah. Her beloved siblings include Deborah Wiles of Jamestown, NY, Tom & Joanne Wiles of Cassadaga, NY, Nancy & Doug Philbrick of Jamestown, NY, Christopher & Kim Wiles of Jamestown, NY, and Tracy & Brian DuBois of Cassadaga, NY. Her message to all of her loved ones was to always be: forgiving, understanding, caring, knowledgeable, tactful, respectful, upbeat, motivated, productive.

In addition to her friends and family, Charlene loved animals and art. Throughout the years, she was blessed with a number of dogs, cats, horses, and birds. She enjoyed painting and sewing, and was also an excellent markswoman. She had great love for Doctor Who and Supernatural, Conway Twitty and Bruno Mars, and all things Dirty Dancing.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lee Perry. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that people make a donation to their local SPCA.

I am so thankful that Char was my sister-in-law and am missing her very much. She helped me through some of the hardest times of my life - the loss of my sister & my brother & my two pugs. She was my Senior Games partner & rode shotgun to my out-of-town doctor appointments. We always did lunch & some shopping on our doctor appointment trips. I was not expecting the last time I saw her to be the last time I would see her.
