On the day of June 11, 1938, Charlene Stepp Reid was born to the late Rev. Roy and Maggie Owen Stepp. 

She joined Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age.  

Charlene departed life on January 8, 2013.   

She is survived by her six children: Sammie Reid, Jr., Leroy Reid, Maggie Reid, Betty Carlton, Bobbie Elom, and Ruby Reid;  twenty-two grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Martha J. Stepp and Rose Stepp; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
