Charlie my best friend, I sure do miss our times together. All you ever talked about was how proud you were of your children, especially your son Jim. The love you had for your family was endless. I admired so much what a kind hearted, giving, and loving man you were. I saw how your eyes lit up when you talked about your family.
The first thing you'd say was "let's go see jim, and then yvonne.
I never had a friend like you, and I never will.
Until we meet again sometime soon,
The captain.

Oh how I miss all your silly jokes, and your gratefulness for sitting down and having lunch, dinner or breakfast. Oh everything you would find was ”oh they don’t make them anymore, or you can’t find anything like this anymore” We had the best times didn’t we. The captain misses you as well as the whole family. Just to hug you one more time. I’ll see you in heaven someday pops. Until then , “ON THE ROAD AGAIN”

Seems like yesterday

Pops I can’t believe it’s been eight years since you left us and went to heaven. I know your with your mom,  dad, brothers, sisters, grandma and grandpa and all your friends. I remember how you always used to say how young you were at 19 when you lost both your mom, and then shortly there after your dad. How hard that must’ve been for your dad. I know now though that you’re all celebrating in heaven and carrying on the Norwegian traditions.  I wish just one more time I could hold your hand and kiss you goodbye. Nothings been the same since you’ve been gone, we still share all the memories we have of you and talk about you often. You’ll always be in our hearts and will never ever forget you. Until we meet again,
love you so much,
your baby girl
