TRIBUTE TO MY EVER JOVIAL AND LOVING UNCLE
My one and only Uncle Charles.... it is shocking and painful to know that death has snatched you away from Us. Tears rolled down my cheeks on hearing of your demise. Words cannot describe the pain in my heart and those of Us you left behind; because of what you meant to Us. Those of Us who knew you, knows that what exudes from you; was fun, laughter, joy, love, peace, unity and lots of positive energies and emotions... You were a true keeper of his people, the bonds you created; were inextricably knitted... .Oh! how I, miss that tender humor of yours. There was never a sad moment with you! You were clothed with a garment of happiness which was extremely contagious to those who crossed your path. Adieu Uncle and see you on the resurrection morning!
May your; kind, gentle and legendary soul, rest in the bosom of our LORD JESUS CHRIST...
Amen!!!

I call him “Daddy” when addressing him because I have always seen him as one ever since my childhood days up till my adulthood. He was empathetic, caring and jovial to our family. The news of his death brought tears to my eyes because it felt like one of mine own was gone. I would miss a gem and a father to all. The good things he did when he was alive was priceless, if only wishes were horses, I would wake him up from the hands of death. Rest well Daddy

It was an unforgettable moments for me. Remember thinking to myself , this my uncle know what’s up. You will surely be missed. Adieu Agwa onye Ihe odi 2nd. Rest In Peace ✌️..

Dada....like I call you! I miss you and I love you! Always will...the black hands of death has taken a huge part of my being away! You were and have been a huge reason for who I am today! You taught me the true values of life. You taught me the most important thing in life which is knowing God! I grew up watching you serve the church for years...I remember the first gift you gave me( a bible) and how I won several awards and took part in Bible presentations through your gift. You taught me to give by giving to others , to be humble ( I remember in secondary school days when u marked myself and Nne's birthday how my classmates were shocked to learn my daddy had a big house...lol because according to them I didn't act like I owned a house let alone a big one at that) , to be contented, to be patient, to love and to care ( even to those that offends us), to share, to be disciplined ,to always keep a good company and most importantly...to be honest because you always took sides with nothing or no one but the truth......oh daddy I could go on and on ‘cause you are the true definition of who a daddy should be. I still feel like a little child always looking forward and waking up to your messages and prayers on my birthdays, you never missed a year ( even when I intentionally decide not to call you the day before or at times 2 days before just hoping to catch you unawares and make fun of it with you) but you always remembered! You were perfect to a fault! You were not just a father to myself and siblings but even to people around you! I promise to instill those values into the lives of your grandchildren and draw strength from knowing that we will meet again to part no more.
Continue to rest in the bosom of the lord! Heaven has indeed gained an angel! Your loving daughter Chichi (like you fondly call me) nee Umeilechukwu! Love always!

Honestly, it still feels so unreal that you are no longer here on earth. It's taken me a while to pen my thoughts and feelings here. To think that six months down from December last year we met up at Uga that I won't see you again really hit me!

Still remember my growing up days at Ifako always excited to run down to your house with my blossom friend, Waheed (who's still in shock as well) to deliver dad's message...we really looked forward to it because we were always sure to get something from you afterwards.

You always had a way of gisting regards of our age and willing to engage us in any type of discussion...there wasn't any "off limit" gist with you.

Gosh! Death is surely cruel. I sincerely hope we do meet again in the afterlife...till then do have yourself a deserved rest.

Farewell to a great uncle who had a large heart.A man of peace who always cared for both  his immediate family and also his extended family. When I gave birth to my triplets he drove the long distance from Ifako to Surulere just to visit us.I can still remember the way you call my name and the broad smile on your face when ever I greet you.I was happy when I asked about your health and was told you were getting better. Death played a fast one on us by snatching you away from us.We cannot question our creator He knows what is best.                  From Obiageli Okpala nee Ezekwueme

Uncle, before your painful démise, i enjoyed our discussions on politics and sports because you demonstrated immense knowledge on both subjects. You were also a exceptional servant in the vineyard of God, having served in various capacities in the house of God and even when i had the rare privilège of serving as the Parish Church Council Secretary of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, ifako for 6 years, you were always available whenever i seek for counsel and your counsel was always spot on. I will definitely miss our conversations. However, we are consoled by the fact that you lived a life worthy of émulation. May your beautiful soul continue to rest in peace, Amen.
