I remember one trip we took to the Cornell Club in NYC which is a hotel/club the University operates in Manhattan. Our boss sent a few of us down there to review and evaluate the various facility service contracts the hotel had with various contractors in NYC.
The first night there I realized that while we were prepared to be staying in a fancy hotel my room in the Club had a hide a bed that was just as uncomfortable as it appeared. It had a metal bar running diagonally across the bed that I felt all night,
The next morning at breakfast I think some of us were embarrassed to admit that we were assigned less than cushy rooms. It turns out that one guy who was dating the woman who made the reservations did get a huge king bed which only served to add to our discomfort. When I heard that I mentioned (in jest ) that I too had a king suite and was very thankful. Chuck was not too happy when he thought that only himself and one other guy had to deal with the hide a bed all night.
We rubbed it in for a few days before I admitted to him that I too shared the less than desirable sleeping arrangements.
Recently learned of Chuck's passing. So sorry for your loss. A loyal co-worker and friend who's friendly quips are etched in my mind forever. We will never forget the kindness and generousity the two of you gave to us and Jennifer when we moved to Ithaca. The miniature Christmas tree you gave us a long time ago still grows behind the house. We will always hear "hey guy" and "hey beautiful" and think of you.

So sorry to learn of Chuck's passing. I will always be grateful for the way he welcomed me at Cornell. He was always so helpful. I am sure he's telling Saint Pete he has "money I ain't spent yet"
RIP Chuck

I have so many lasting memories of our time together and can honestly say that although we went through many trying times together we never had a harsh or disrespectful word between us. I know we were both very proud and thankful for that.
We certainly had a lot of fun and laughed together on a daily basis.
I will always have the highest regard and respect for my old friend, "as it should be"
My other favorite "Chuckism" is. "having totally lost sight of our objectives we must redouble our efforts" Think about that one.
Thank you for taking great care of Mom and Bret and our families.
May Gods light shine upon you and Rest In Peace ✌️
See you in PARADISE
