August 8, 2015

Mr. Jones was born in Bowdon, Georgia on June 7, 1927, the son of the late Douglas Mathis Jones and Joe Jones. He was a Christian by faith. He was a truck driver until an accident took his eye site. All those who knew him would tell you that he never let his disability prevent him from having a good life. He had a wonderful spirit, and could turn even a bad experience into a positive event. Dancing was an activity that he excelled in and he enjoyed showing off his skill with family and friends who would share the dance floor with him. Dressing well was also a passion of his. He loved to always be the best dressed man at any event. Mr. Jones never met a stranger, and made everyone in his presence feel special. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
