Some of my most memorable times with my Mom were during the time period when we would leave Dad sitting in his recliner and go to the Tacoma Mall to "browse around".  We went absolutely crazy almost every other weekend and I remember leaving the packages in her trunk until Monday morning when Dad would go to work.  Fun times, shopping with Mom in the little blue Monza that couldn't get up the Wilkerson street hill.  I hope my kids enjoy me as much as I enjoyed her!
