Obituary

February 28, 2016

Chuck was born on April 24th, 1946 in Gordon, Nebraska to Frank and Mardell Capler, and passed away February 9, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his father Frank and his mother Mardell. He is survived by his son Shawn and his daughter Jaime, also by his older sister Jean, his 3 older brothers, Forrest (Skip), Fred and Frank, his younger sister Kathy, his younger brother Garret (Gary), and his younger sister Cheryl.

After attending college at Chardon State, Chuck married Glenda Davis and they had two beautiful children, as previously mentioned, Shawn & Jaime.

They moved to Elgin Nebraska where they owned and operated a furniture and floor covering store along with his brother Fred and sister-in-law Rena. He also ventured into new home building for awhile in surrounding towns near Elgin. Chuck's real talent and love was working with wood, hence, the last 25 years of his life he involved himself mostly in finish carpentry, albeit there wasn't anything he couldn't build. He was truly a master at what he did.

Backtracking in time, Chuck was 5 years old before he got his first hair cut, needless to say, he had some really long blonde curly locks.  See photos (coming soon) for a look at his curls prior to his first haircut.

It became apparent at a very early age, Chuck was a unique little man, a unique young man, and unique as he matured.  That could explain why he had such a special place in his heart for Elvis.  Along with his parents to greet him, we could only hope Elvis was there as well when he made the transition into Heaven. That truly would define Chuck's '7th Heaven.'

Although Chuck didn't get to spend as much time with the Loves of his life (Shawn & Jaime) the last several years he was with us, they were constantly in his thoughts, and now he is watching over both of them and his grandchildren from above.

Chuck was looked up to by many.  It should be noted, God most certainly has a special place for him in Heaven.  He will not be forgotten by his family and by many, many friends.
