Charles Lamar Keeve was born on August 16, 1991 to Keeley Windsor-Lee
and Charles Keeve at Greater Southeast Hospital in Washington, D.C.  Charles graduated from La Plata High School while living in LaPlata with his loving parents Calvin Lee and Keeley Windsor-Lee.  In high school, he excelled in a wide variety of sports.  Even though Football was his passion excelling in all sports was his ultimate goal. He received multiple awards and trophies for his accomplishments.   Charles lived his life to the fullest and did not just touch people’s  hearts, he pierced it. Charles viewed the world from inside out, your appearance meant nothing to him when he saw your heart and he would show you his. To his friends and family you always knew he was there, with his “I got you” attitude.  Charles is preceded in death by his father Charles “Pee Wee” Keeve, his grandparents Ann Elaine Proctor and William David Windsor, Stanley and Alice Keeve and Calvin Lee Sr. and his sister Titiana Lee.  Charles is survived by his loving parents Calvin and Keeley Lee, his half-brother Brandon Watkins, his sister Tiffany Griffin, his grandfather Joseph “Joe” Proctor, his grandmother Helen Gilbert and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.

A childhood Memory

June 5, 2020
I remember when Keeley and Charlie moved to Chesapeake. They lived in an apartment in Cambridge about ten minutes from our house. I was really excited because the majority of our family was in Maryland and DC. Keeley and Charlie would come over and sometimes I would hang out over at their house. Charlie use to talk, run, and even walk fast. At times it seemed he was so eager to get his words out you could barely understand him. One day Keeley took us to the ocean front and we rode bikes. To this day I can see him on that little bike. Keeley laughed and said, "Look at his legs Terri!" He was so small, but you couldn't tell him anything on that bicycle. He was pedaling the bike with everything he had. He ended up falling and he cried a little. I remember us stopping and Keeley helping him up. She hugged him and brushed him off and the next thing I knew he was back on the bike pedaling faster than ever. Charlie fell but he got back up. Over the years, life gets busy and you may not see your loved ones as much but you still love them dearly. Keeley and Calvin, words can't describe this loss and the emotions we all are feeling but I can tell you because of your unwavering love Charlie was amazing and taught us to cherish the moments, live life to the fullest, and get back up when you fall.
