Today we celebrate the battle fought and the victory won for our beloved Mr. Charles William Leonard AKO "Fat Charles"

Charles William Leonard was born to the late J.D. and Rissie Mae Moore-Leonard on Nov 12, 1944 in Elmore County, AL. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Anniston, AL.

He attended Laurel High School in Alexander City, Alabama. He worked as a brick-mason. Mr. Leonard never met a stranger. Everyone that met him loved him. He was a devoted father; grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved fishing and hunting.

He departed this life on Nov 21, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; one son Willie Charles (Roslyn) Leonard of Columbia, SC. Two daughters Margaret Ann (Lewis) Crayton of Kellyton, Alabama Janice Leonard-Johnson of Junction City, Kansas. Three brothers; Johnny James Leonard of Goodwater, Alabama, Robert Lee Leonard of Wetumpka, Alabama, Benjamin Cody (Loretta) Murray of Anniston, Alabama. Four sister Eula Mae Zeigler, Robbie Lee Leonard of Atlanta, Ga. Linda Ann LeonardGreene, Mary Lee McKenzie of Montgomery, Al, 7 grand children,1 great grand child, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 3 devoted friends Ruby Dixon, Rosa Mae McKinney, David Hughley all of Durham, NC
