我们的朋友马超（Charles Ma）走了，突发的脑溢血夺去了他的生命。他留下了与他同甘共苦，相濡以沫的爱妻Jenny和年仅十一岁的小女Charlene。他没能等到自己与Jenny苦心筹备的自己的餐厅正式开业，没能等到父亲节时接受才女为他献上的钢琴曲，就在睡梦中溘然离去了。他走得太早，太匆忙，他才不到五十二岁。

Charles 是个平凡的人，然而他的每个平凡后面都有着非凡的结果。在他辞世之际，他最后一次以他的平凡留给了与他素昧平生的人们最不寻常的奉献，他生前立下遗愿，将脏器和捐献，使得五个生命垂危的病人得到了救治。除了器官以外，他还献出了骨髓和身体组织（tissue），真是无所保留，能献出的都献出了。

Charles谈吐平和，可是他的话语之中总是蕴含着睿智，谦卑，宽容，和尊敬，使得平凡的他优雅而高贵。

Charles 向我们每个人一样，要谋生，要和妻子共同担起养家育儿的重担，他经营一个小饭馆，不分昼夜，没有节假日的操劳，可是生活的重担没有泯灭他对知识，艺术和文学的追求，他在百忙之中总能找出时间读书，去搏博物馆，欣赏音乐。莎士比亚，古典音乐是他的最爱。他是个真正高雅脱俗的知识分子。

Charles是慈父，向我们每个爱孩子的家长一样。他和妻子坚持不懈，持之以恒，对爱女严格教育，悉心关怀，把女儿培养成了一个多才多艺，学业优秀的孩子，多次在各种钢琴比赛中得奖。

Charles是好友，对朋友肝胆相照，慷慨大方，有求必应，从来不求回报。

Charles是这样的平凡，他没有惊天动地之举，可是他平凡的爱，平凡的友谊却滋润着他的家人和朋友们的心田，他的离去给他们造成了难以弥补的空缺和忧伤。

马超，我们纪念你。

马超，你放心的走吧，你的朋友们会帮助Jenny 和Charlene度过他们人生中最艰难的日子。

Dear Friends, 
Charles Ma (Ma Chao) has passed due to a sudden cerebral hemmorhage. He left this world leaving behind his beloved wife, Jenny and only daughter, Charlene.

He was anxious to open up their new restaurant and more so to hear his daughter play piano for Father's Day. Unfortunately, he passed in his sleep on May 27th, 2012. He left this world too soon, at only the age of 52.

Charles was an extraordinary person, always striving to learn more and to do more. He loved his family and his friends and was sociable all around. At the end of his life, he donated his organs, helping save five people in need. He also gave bone marrow and bodily tissues, hoping that his sacrafice would make a difference in the lives of others. 

Charles was a man of many words, always happy to converse with others. He was a hard worker, managing a small restaurant in order to support his family. His greatest fear in life was to be devoid of knowledge, he constantly tried to learn about new things, acquire new skills and to share them with those around him. His favorites included Shakespearean literature and classical music; he was truely a elegant and refined intellectual.

Charles was a loving father and a great friend to all. He was generous, donating much of his hard earned money to charities and asking nothing of it in return. Charles was a ordinary man, but he touched the hearts of many; his sudden departure will leave a void in those that knew him. He will be missed, may he rest in peace.
