It saddens my heart, mind and soul to have to say that my Mike passed away on the evening of April 8, 2019.
Charles Michael Finnie was born in Montreal Quebec, then moved to New Brunswick and graduated from McAdam High. In 1980 he jumped into a friends car and made his way west to the place he called home, Williams Lake, BC. He was hired at a local wood mill, and retired from the same mill after 37 years of service.
There are not many lakes around that he hasn’t fished in. No matter the size of the fish, big small or none at all, he enjoyed fishing them all.
With family and friends living from Quadra Island to PEI, he will be watching over us from his fishing hole in the sky.
Please join us on Sunday, April 14 at 1pm to share memories and stories of Mike with his family and friends.
Gathering will take place at MacKinnon Hall, 1000 Huckvale Place, Williams Lake BC. The Entrance is located at the back of the St. Andrews United Church.
Everyone will have the opportunity to share stories if you wish, and refreshments will be served. Doors open at 12:30.

Sheila our hearts are with you and your loved ones. Mike brightened my day whenever I saw him - I loved his laughter and his stories. I think he is going to meet my Dad out there on one of those lakes.

I have fond memories of Michael from childhood in McAdam. He was easy-going, quick with a smile, always ready to lend a hand. He was one of my favourite cousins.
