Charles was a wonderful, warm, friendly caucus colleague and a friend. In the latter years I always looked forward to his book talks at the Royal Military Institute. He was passionate about helping people. His amazing medical skills were important, but even more so was his dedication to using those skills to help create a better world. I will miss his infectious sense of humour. He was truly a great Canadian!
